When it's time to hand in your key

Why settle for the studio when you can have the cute house?

Before you call me a shiny rock miner, I'm not talking about adding to your assets. This is about progressing from solo in a single to coupled with enormous closets!

Even tho I agree with Chrissie -- there's something to be said about leaving your "need-todo-laundry" panties on YOUR floor without worry that someone else will spot them...

There's also something to be said about the man who finds you sexy in those droopy drawers.

-- He's the one who undoes that singlehood bolt -- caused by cockroaches who slipped through your cracks.

-- He makes you hand over your prized independence as if it were the lowly pretzels of the Chex Party Mix.

When that day happens, don't worry, you can still have YOUR empty Brita in the back of YOUR refrigerator...

Because you'll find you can fit all that was your tiny apartment inside the adorable new home that you both have together.

i guess it's just a matter of finding someone who doesn't care that the brita container is always empty...

or that i hit the snooze button for almost an hour every morning...

because i'm a sucker for a cute house with lots of closet space;)

or someone who fills up the Brita for you and who wakes you up with kisses.. because that cute house is less about the OLD you and more about a better life...

ouch sarah... "the OLD you"... "a better life"...

take it easy on chrissie;)

i think chrissie makes an excellent point, especially about the independence.

because if the decision to get together with someone is based, in any capacity whatsoever, on need...

then you're doing it for all the wrong reasons.

What's wrong with saying the old you? It wasn't a slam about age, about personality, nor about intelligence. In fact, at no point did I disagree with Chrissie, I only expanded on her point.

That is, once in awhile a guy comes along who will make the girl give up her independence. Not because of need . oh no. because of WANT. and because of LOVE.

No worries Sarah, I wasn't offended at all.

OLD YOU: just implies that you're different... not that the "old" you is worse.

BETTER LIFE: Everyone knows a house is BETTER than a studio;)

My post yesterday was more about what a person can learn while being completely independent... and how that prepares them for when someone special DOES come along.

i was only kidding sarah (winking smiley-icon qualifier is present).

i know you're not disagreeing with chrissie, you said so right there in your post.

and i was just expanding on everybody's points... or trying to.

;)
